Based on a Christian conviction, SharInvest invests in local businesses with the goal of creating social impact. SharInvest is the trade name of SharInvest Coöperatief U.A. SharInvest is an initiative of Dorcas and Come Over and Help. Both organizations have been active in Eastern Europe for decades. Through Dorcas and Come Over and Help, SharInvest has a network in this region and has knowledge and experience of the local culture and business environment.
Our vision
At SharInvest, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship and people who want to build livable lives in emerging countries in Eastern Europe. SharInvest invests in local businesses with the goal of creating social impact through job generation. In doing so, we contribute directly to the socioeconomic resilience of local communities. Moreover, we see locally driven entrepreneurship growing and leading to a sustainable use of people and resources.
Our mission
Looking out for people and investing in development is at the heart of our mission at SharInvest. We support entrepreneurs in emerging countries in Eastern Europe with business development. The focus should lead to investments in local SMEs with growth potential in the food and agri and healthcare sectors. Our mission is based on creating opportunities and promoting sustainable development. Flourishing SMEs also have a positive social impact on local communities.
SharInvest connects investors in the Netherlands with local SMEs in Eastern Europe. Our goal extends beyond financial support; we are a dynamic platform for sharing knowledge and experience. By providing access to financial products, networking and advice, we aim to connect entrepreneurs here and there.

What we see
Eastern Europe lacks a stimulating business environment that hinders SME entrepreneurs from developing their businesses. In addition, labor is often inadequately rewarded because of low wages and marginal marketing prices for small producers. Small and medium-sized businesses are essential to making lasting improvement in this.
What we do
Our focus is on innovative and scalable companies that support economic development and have a positive social impact. We work together by improving their access to financing, to knowledge about business development, technology and markets, and to networks. The goal is to build healthy businesses, successful businesses that provide employment and income and help strengthen social structures and local communities. With our investment, we directly contribute to a stimulating environment for entrepreneurs. In doing so, we collaborate with national and international organizations on enterprise-wide challenges such as biodiversity and climate change.

How does SharInvest work? Our approach is entrepreneurial, cooperative, personal and focused on social and economic returns. For investors, there is a modest financial return, depending on operating results. Investors are actively involved in the companies we invest in.
